The first episode is out! Food, Funerals and Mourning in the American South – A conversation with Ashley-Anne Masters. We spoke about Food, Funerals and Mourning in an area well known for its traditions and rituals around food and funerals. We discussed food and humour and how both can bring us together and help us in moments of grief and pain.
Towards the end of the conversation, we did share some personal memories around the funerals of close family members but from a place of laughter and happy memories as these were events where life has had chance to fill in some of the deeper holes dug by grief.
